Finding helpful Bose iPod docking station reviews can be difficult and sometimes frustrating. Often times they seem very slanted to one side or the other. We all know that Bose has been on the scene making audio equipment for a long time now and they make great iPod docks . And if you’ve ever been in a Bose store and listened to Bose equipment you know that they do a magnificent job they do of putting out stunning sound. When we start looking for Bose iPod docks the only potential drawback insight is the price tag. Your high-end systems can go for as much as $ 600 whereas the least amount of financial damage you are going to take while picking up a Bose iPod dock is around $ 225. So, with these two factors in mind finding the right Bose iPod docking station reviews becomes very important in making what’s going to end up being a large financial decision. With this in mind we have decided to put together a review on the Bose SoundDock Series II iPod Dock.
The method for doing this review comes from looking at Amazon.com because the Bose iPod SoundDock Series 2 has received about 77 separate reviews and boasts an overall review score of 4/5 stars. We chose Amazon because typically people who purchase the products will then come back and give Bose iPod docking station reviews that are credible and based on actual experience.
First of all the breakdown from those 77 reviews went like this 6 of them were one-star ratings, 5 of them were two star ratings, 5 of them were three-star ratings, while 17 of them were five star ratings, and 44 of them were five-star ratings.
Let’s start with the upside.
We did our key analysis off the Amazon rating that was stated to be most useful when making a decision. This respondent stated that many so-called “audio experts” bash Bose for putting out what they consider to be an overpriced and undersized unit. The respondent then went on to explain that many of the systems that were being compared to the Bose iPod SoundDock Series II were actually home theater systems that had two detached speakers that were separately wired to the main unit. This unfair comparison was the first thing pointed out by this particular reviewer as they then go on to state that the Bose iPod dock puts out a beautiful and warm sound and also has enough base to give the music feeling without rattling your windows.
Now let’s look at the other side of the coin.
Now looking at the most useful of all of the more so negative Bose iPod docking station reviews we come across a two star rating that was selected by Amazon as being one of the most helpful when choosing whether to purchase this product. The reviewer starts off by complementing Bose on the high sound quality that is received from the Bose iPod SoundDock Series II. They also mention that they thought the sound quality was more than satisfactory based on the cost of the unit. The problem arises when they had an issue navigating through the menus on their iPod using the wireless remote that comes with the Bose iPod dock. Initially they thought that the unit they had purchased was defective but after turning it in getting a new unit they realize it or having the same complications. They then went on to describe this as a huge flaw in an otherwise solid product.
After taking the time to read through many of the other Bose iPod docking station reviews we came to conclude that the majority of the negative reviews were based on much smaller logistic issues and not the actual sound quality provided by the Bose iPod dock. Ultimately, the Bose iPod SoundDock Series 2 is a great iPod docking system and should definitely be in contention for anyone looking for the highest quality sound out of an iPod dock .
